Kay Raska - Jewelry

Biography

I have taught various metalsmithing and jewelry making techniques for the past nine years. I started working with art metals over 17 years ago to satisfy my craving for silver jewelry. Some of the classes that I have taught in the past year have been at Peninsula Art School , with the UW Madison Continuing education department, Cedarburg Cultural Arts Center , Shake Rag Alley in Mineral Point and at the Madison Art Glass and Bead show. My introduction into art metals techniques was through the Madison Area Technical College non-credit workshop series.

I have attended a number of workshops and classes in metalsmithing including Joan Hubbard’s hinges and bezel setting classes at PAS as well as blacksmithing and ornamental art welding.
