Upcoming Classes/Special Events
Offering a series of workshops in metalsmithing at various destinations around Wisconsin! The classes offer you the opportunity to travel to some of Wisconsin’s desirable locations such as Peninsula Art School in Fish Creek (Door County) and Shake Rag Alley in beautiful Mineral Point. If the cosmopolitan scene is for you, travel to Milwaukee for the week long national Bead and Button show!
If you would like a quick introduction to basic metals fabrication skills, sign up for a metal work earrings project class.You will go home wearing a pair of silver earrings! Learn what tools and techniques you need to set up your own jewelry metals workspace to create your own signature designs in the introductory metals fabrication class. If you want to take it to the next level, the introductory soldering class will build on fabrication skills by creating more complex and 3 dimensional pieces using acetylene or butane torches. To add some further depth to your designs, learn how to work with PMC3 to create textured charms and pendants.
One on One private instruction is available in my studio (Stoughton, WI) in silver fabrication, soldering and basic PMC techniques. I can also bring my tools and mobile workshop to your home or bead shop to teach multiple students. Please inquire! Contact Kay.
Please read the class descriptions and supplies lists at each website carefully as some of the classes have been slightly modified from one another in order to accommodate available time slots, equipment and facilities. Space is limited and registration timing may vary at the different locations.
